Circular hike to the Juffinger Jöchl

1. Details about the “Juffinger Jöchl” Hike

• This charming loop hike begins at the free Alpenschlössl parking lot in Söll, just a leisurely five-minute drive from the Haus Bergland apartment. This is where you’ll start the hike, passing by the hotel of the same name, where the first signpost directs you to the left onto the Lengauer Besinnungsweg.
• After just a few steps, the baroque Lengauer Chapel from 1727 greets you, a quiet place for a quick look inside and a moment of contemplation.
• The route continues through shady forests to the idyllic Lengau pond. The clear water reflects the sky and treetops and invites you to take a short breather before the ascending forest path to the left of the Lengau Hof leads up to the Juffinger Jöchl.
• The last section is a steep path through dense greenery – but the effort is worth it: at 1181 meters, a panorama opens up from the Zillertal Alps to far into the Inn Valley, making hikers’ hearts beat faster.

2. A hearty snack or something sweet?

The return leg of the loop hike takes you through Grausegg to the forest road leading toward the Alpengasthaus Stallhäusl. At the inn, you’ll be greeted with Tyrolean hospitality and regional delicacies—the perfect way to refuel before continuing your hike down into the valley. A fantastic panoramic view awaits you on the idyllic sun terrace. The homemade strudels, cakes, and tarts are especially recommended! Please note: The inn is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

3. A return trip through blooming alpine meadows

• On Paisslberg Straße, follow the signs for Badhaus until you reach the Hinterfirsthof, turn left, and walk back to the Alpenschlössl across soft meadows.

• At 9.5 kilometers in length, 480 meters in altitude and a walking time of around three and a half hours, this circular hike is pleasantly challenging and wonderfully varied.
• Forest paths, forest roads and short stretches of asphalt alternate and offer a new perspective with every step.

After this wonderful circular hike, you’ll return with many memories and a satisfied smile to the familiar, charming atmosphere of our apartment building in Söll. Now it’s time to unwind and enjoy. In our small but lovely sauna area, tired muscles can relax in the soothing warmth of the sauna, the steam room, or the infrared cabin.

Afterward, the swimming pond in our lovingly landscaped garden beckons—a few refreshing strokes through the clear water, and you’ll feel reenergized. On the comfortable lounge chairs, you can let the day wind down in peace—basking in the sun, with a view of the mountains, and the feeling that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Thanks to our perfect location in the heart of the hiking area and right next to the mountain railway, you’ll be right in the middle of the action. The free Kaiserjet hiking bus will be happy to take you to your next hike. It stops right outside the door.
• You can borrow hiking poles, backpacks, and picnic baskets for free at the front desk.
• If you need a lunchbox for your hike: You can fill our “Bergland Brotdose” lunchbox however you like right at the breakfast buffet (for a fee) and take it with you on your hike (e.g., to the Juffinger Jöchl).
• You can also participate in the guided hikes organized by the tourism association for free.
• To relax your muscles after the hike, you can unwind in the hotel garden, take a dip in the on-site swimming pond, or enjoy the sauna or steam room in the small spa area.
• Afterward, your spacious luxury vacation rental or cozy luxury family apartment awaits, ready to provide a relaxing end to an adventurous day of hiking.
• If you don’t feel like cooking: In the morning, we’ll treat you to our healthy breakfast buffet (available for an additional fee), and in the evening, you can enjoy a meal at our à la carte restaurant (reservations required), located right here in the hotel.
