The Hexenwasser – the excursion destination for the whole family right on our doorstep!

In this article, we from Bergland – your vacation apartment in Söll – would like to introduce you to the Hexenwasser theme park. Join us on our excursion into the world of magic in the middle of the Tyrolean mountain world “Wilder Kaiser”.

Situated at the foot of the Hohe Salve at 1150 meters, the Hexenwasser Mountain Adventure World in Söll in Tyrol has been delighting guests of all ages for more than 10 years. The adventure begins just a few steps away from Bergland – Holiday Apartment Söll with the so-called “Ride on the Witches’ Broom” – the ride on the Hochsöll adventure gondola lift. The 10-seater gondola lift is just as suitable for baby carriages as it is for wheelchair users.

Booking & costs

You can find the costs for the cable car ride in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental tariffs, or you can ask at the reception of our Aparthotel Bergland – your vacation apartment in Söll. Numerous witchcraft programs and demonstrations are free of charge. Some guided tours can also be booked as a private program for small groups, as so-called “HeXpeditions”. This year’s summer season starts on May 7 and ends on October 26.

Experience adventure

This excursion promises exciting adventures and magical moments for the whole family. Open your eyes and let yourself be whisked away to the wonders of nature! The focus here is on amazement, discovery and exploration! Various chambers of wonder, paths and stations await your visit. The witches show you the way – you have to walk it yourself. Austria’s longest barefoot trail leads through streams and meadows, over hill and dale and sand. Can you feel how different that feels? Under the witches’ umbrellas you will discover vibrating singing bowls and the drop orchestra.

What to do in bad weather?

And if the weather is not so good, there are various indoor activities to try out. In the “Blue Wonder”, water is experimented with and the secrets and mysteries of the “source of life” are explored in a playful way. Or you can visit the 400-year-old Simonalm. In the kitchen you will learn how butter is made. Cheese and milk can be tasted. Grain is ground, bread dough is kneaded and flatbread is baked in the bakery. In witchcraft you will learn interesting facts about crafts, living and witchcraft herbalism in earlier times. Furthermore, in the old parlors of the farmhouse, the witches sew and do magic and listen to witch stories.

There is also plenty to see and discover in the Bee Theater and the AmVieh Theater, in the Cherry Cinema and in the Cherry Orchard.

What else is there to see?

We would like to draw your attention to a very special gem: The Salvenkirchlein:
The name “Salve” is derived from the Latin greeting “be well”. The Salvenkirchlein is Austria’s highest pilgrimage church. It is located at 1,829 meters and offers a breathtaking view of the Wilder Kaiser mountains and over 70 three-thousand-meter peaks. A guided tour is offered every Wednesday from May to October, where you can learn exciting facts about the history of the summit church.

Back in your vacation apartment in Söll:

After an eventful excursion to the Hexenwasser, we look forward to welcoming you to our Bergland wellness area. Here you can relax in the sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin and recharge your batteries, as well as reminisce about the many impressions and experiences.
