Start your adventure at the parking lot at Café Restaurant Seestüberl and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the northern shore, which is easily accessible along road no. 822. A stopover at the Goingstätt snack station promises culinary delights that will further fuel your wanderlust. Continue to Pension Maier, where you turn left and follow trail no. 822, which takes you through varied landscapes – sometimes ascending through the forest, sometimes descending along the southern shore of the lake. This path leads you back to the starting point and completes the circle of your circular route around this beautiful body of water.

For all the families among you:

• The asphalted path on the north bank is perfect for a trip with a baby carriage.
• And the refreshment stops? On the eastern shore, the Seestüberl offers delicious food, while the Goingstätt and Maier snack stops invite you to take a leisurely break. At the Maier snack station, right next to the shaded sun terrace, there is a small playground for children with a climbing frame, wide slide and carousel.
• There is also a great community playground in Scheffau, where your children can play and run around to their heart’s content before the short drive back to your family apartment.

Don’t forget to pack your rucksack with everything you need: sturdy hiking boots, clothing suitable for the weather, sun and rain protection and, of course, food for the journey. You can order our “snack box” the day before your hike. It will be waiting for you at the breakfast table to be filled with all the delicacies from the breakfast buffet (for a fee).
A hiking map, the GPX track of the tour and a cell phone are also essential to enjoy your day outdoors safely and informed.

Directions to the Hintersteiner See:

The approach is uncomplicated: Simply drive from Söll in the direction of Ellmau, turn off at Scheffau and follow the path to Hintersteiner See. A large paid parking lot and the starting point of your hiking day awaits you at the Seestüberl.

The stylishly comfortable sun loungers and parasols at the lido provide the ultimate in comfort. And for those who like it a little more sporty, there is a special highlight on offer: SUPs (stand-up paddle boards). Come along, hire a board and experience pure joy on the water.

• There are also free guided hikes organized by the tourism association, where you can discover the region together with experienced guides. The guided hikes take place daily.
